New pool safety certificate registration required for 2016
New NSW legislation that came into effect on 29th October 2013, requires that your pool is inspected, certified and registered on the NSW Pool Registry to ensure it meets with the requirements of the Australian Standards and the new pool safety legislation.
After 29th April 2016, if you’re selling or leasing your property that has a swimming pool, then you’ll need your pool certified by an accredited certifier. A valid swimming pool certificate of compliance must be attached to the contract for sale of properties with a swimming pool or spa pool. Failure to attach the certificate means that the purchaser may be entitled to rescind the contract at any time within fourteen days of exchange, unless settlement has already occurred.
Call Strata Plus to obtain a certificate of compliance for your swimming pool.
