We always knew Mahli was a star!

Strata management is ultimately about people, and when you have the right people in senior roles, the whole team benefits. Our Associate Director, Mahli Piggins, is someone we at Strata Plus are particularly proud of, with her recently being selected as a Finalist for Strata Community Manager of the Year in the Strata Community Association NSW 2021 Awards.

Mahli is an inspiration to everyone she engages with, from our team through to building managers, strata community committees and service providers. She goes above and beyond for clients because, as she explains, ensuring every detail has been taken care of is extremely important.

The portfolio of clients Mahli oversees includes some extremely complex and prestigious schemes recognised by nearly all Sydneysiders. Since starting her career in strata in 2005, Mahli has grown her expertise and credentials to attain the status of Certified Strata Community Manager with Level 2 SCA Accreditation.

Strata management requires a high level of commercial acumen, organisational skills and exceptional diplomacy, all qualities Mahli has in abundance. We have seen this in how she has succeeded in resolving seemingly intractable issues for clients including rectification of non-compliant cladding, addressing significant building defects, forensic accounting to restore order to community financial affairs, and balancing the very different needs of commercial and residential owners in mixed-use precincts during a global pandemic.

One of the things Mahli’s colleagues notice is her willingness to go the extra mile to achieve the desired result. She is a giver to the sector. She has delivered webinars to NSW strata managers to help satisfy their continuing professional obligations, and to owners new to strata to help them understand what they need to know. From investigating financial records stretching back over a decade through to assisting her fellow strata managers and building managers to implement contactless procedures for meetings and negotiations, she will always do what it takes.

The feedback from clients on Mahli’s results for their strata communities is that they do not know what they would do without her – and neither do we!
