Randwick City Council – Sustainability Rebates

Supporting Sustainability in Randwick

Sustainability Rebates supports properties in Randwick to implement energy and water saving initiatives.

As part of this program, properties in Randwick can receive up to $5,000 in rebates for purchasing rooftop solar, rainwater tanks, pool pumps, insulation, or one or more of the other current rebate items listed below.

Who can apply?

Houses, units, and businesses within the Randwick Local Government Area can apply for sustainability rebates.

To be eligible to receive a sustainability rebate, your sustainable product must be installed or undertaken in the past 12 months.

Which sustainability rebates are available?

The Council’s website provides a list of the current rebates available. Rebates are available for solar panels, electric vehicle chargers, lighting, hot water systems, rainwater tanks, waterfix and more.

How it works

1. Check the Eligibility Criteria
Review the Eligibility Criteria for your chosen rebate item. To be eligible to receive a sustainability rebate, your Sustainable Product must have been installed or undertaken in the past 12 months.

2. Purchase your Sustainable Product
Purchase your Sustainable Product from your chosen provider or installer. Ensure that your purchase meets the Eligibility Criteria for your chosen rebate item.

3. Submit an Application Form
Submit an Application Form and attach a recent electricity bill, a photo of your sustainable product (if applicable) and a copy of the invoice from your Sustainable Product provider. Click ‘Apply Now’ to submit an application form.

4. Receive your Sustainability Rebate
If your form is approved by Council, you will receive your Sustainability Rebate via electronic bank transfer from Rebately. Be sure to check your junk mailbox for your rebate approval email.
