Environmental

Sustainability in apartments

In response to growing environmental concerns, owners corporations are increasingly looking to embrace sustainable practices to enhance their building’s operations and minimise ecological impact. Our team is educated in helping owners corporations to evaluate sustainability initiatives to support clients in achieving their goals, thus improving performance, and reducing costs across common property operations.

Responsible supply chain

Our sustainability policy outlines our expectations concerning environmental protection, employment rights, environmental protection, business ethics, human trafficking prevention, worker health and safety, and responsible material sourcing. When we evaluate potential suppliers who service our portfolio of strata schemes, we consider a wide range of criteria, including their environmental and social policies, geography, and whether a disadvantaged group owns the business.

 

Social

Driving positive change for Indigenous Australians

Through our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), we invest in raising awareness, celebrating Indigenous culture, and fostering partnerships. We aim to deepen cultural understanding among our workforce and support residents in gaining insight into the challenges faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. As the first specialist strata management organisation in NSW to embark on this journey, we welcomed the opportunity to demonstrate leadership in championing the advancement of national reconciliation. As a result of commitments under our RAP, we have registered five indigenous businesses as suppliers, and we will continue to seek out First Nation suppliers that match our criteria.

We prioritise diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I). Embracing a diverse workforce brings varied perspectives, fosters innovation, and enhances problem-solving, ultimately benefiting our customers and ensuring our future success. DE&I is at the core of our organisation. We champion differences, creating a culture where everyone can participate and contribute equally. This diversity equips us with the knowledge and skills to effectively serve a diverse community.

Giving back to the community

Our company is actively involved in supporting various charitable organisations. We believe in making a positive impact on the lives of those in need and contributing to the betterment of society. Some of the charitable organisations we donate to and collaborate with include the Women in Prisons, The Property Industry Foundation (supporting homeless youths), Movember, MGM Cares, Plates4mates and Mission Australia.

Our organisation upholds a culture of rigorous governance practices, where senior management takes proactive measures to assess and manage risks and opportunities comprehensively. Adopting this approach empowers effective decision-making at every level of our organisation. To ensure accountability and adherence to the highest standards, our Board maintains a vigilant oversight role, evaluating the execution of responsibilities and approaches by the executive team.

Furthermore, our team is guided by the SCA’s Code of Ethics, which sets the ethical framework for our actions and decisions. Through these measures, we strive to cultivate a culture of integrity, transparency, and responsible leadership that fosters trust and drives sustainable success for our organisation.
