Tenant By-law Requirements

As a property owner, you must give your tenants a copy of the building's by-laws within 14 days after they move in. If the by-laws change, you need to provide the updated version within 14 days of the changes. Your real estate agent can handle this if you use one. Failure to provide these documents can result in penalties.

You can easily find your building's by-laws on the My Property Portal. If you need assistance accessing them, please contact Strata Plus.

Note: If your real estate agent has already provided the by-laws under residential tenancy requirements, you don't need to provide another copy.
