Joshua Jasnos Winner SCA Senior Strata Community Manager of the Year 2025

SCA NSW Senior Strata Community Manager
of the Year 2025

We are proud to share that Joshua Jasnos, Associate Director at Strata Plus, has been awarded the prestigious 2025–2026 Senior Strata Community Manager of the Year by Strata Community Association (NSW)—a recognition of his exceptional professionalism, sector leadership, and commitment to service excellence.

This recognition is a reflection of Joshua’s exceptional professionalism, sector leadership, and commitment to service excellence. With over a decade of experience in the strata industry and a Fellow of the SCA, Joshua is recognised not only for managing buildings, but also for elevating them to new heights.

Service, Strategy, and Humanity Combined

What makes Joshua different is the mindset he brings to strata management. Every building under his management receives the same meticulous attention he’d demand for his own investment. From budget forecasting and legal advocacy to day-to-day communication, Joshua works with the rigour of a business leader and the empathy of a true community partner.

He has a unique ability to simplify the complex, translating legislation, financial data, and compliance requirements into clear, actionable insights for strata committees and owners alike. His emails summarise key points, his meeting packs anticipate questions, and his proactive updates ensure his clients are never left guessing.

The Treasurer of Symphony by Meriton, a 211-lot complex in Zetland, credits Joshua’s calm leadership and practical expertise for helping their building navigate capital works, by-law reforms, and dispute resolution with confidence. “He treats every owner and tenant with respect and empathy,” she writes, “and his calm presence has been invaluable during decision-making under pressure.

Managing Defects at Scale: Project Remediate in the CBD

Joshua’s leadership was instrumental in guiding a large, multi-building strata complex in Sydney’s CBD through the NSW Government’s Project Remediate—a complex scheme designed to fast-track the resolution of non-compliant external aluminium cladding panels.

Joshua coordinated directly with the Office of Project Remediate and the Department of Customer Service to manage engineering assessments, owner communications, and legal documentation. He worked closely with strata committees and consultants to ensure the Owners Corporation was represented and protected at each stage, providing clarity and continuity throughout a high-stakes, high-complexity project, including securing 10 year interest free strata loan agreement from Project Remediate.

His ability to lead in parallel—ensuring remediation progressed while day-to-day building operations remained unaffected—was a masterclass in strategic strata management.

Proactive, Practical, and Prepared

Joshua has earned a reputation as one of the most dependable and knowledgeable managers in the field. His NCAT experience includes successfully representing an Owners Corporation—without legal counsel—after a tenant caused significant flood damage, preparing over 60 pages of evidence and defending the owners corporation through two tribunal levels.

At AGMs, he embeds insurance education and includes key financial summaries. He collaborates with building managers to create forward-looking budgets, ensures committees review agendas and minutes in advance, and routinely sends next-day meeting drafts.

Everything he does is grounded in accountability, transparency, and genuine care for the communities he serves.

Driving Change for the Sector

Joshua’s contributions extend well beyond his portfolio. He’s an active member of the SCA NSW Professional Strata Management Committee, a former interim GM and Licensee-in-Charge for a 10,000-lot portfolio, and a regular speaker and contributor at conferences and webinars, including the Owners Corporation Network.

He initiated the conversation that led to SCA NSW adopting mental health as a strategic pillar in 2019, and has since become an R U OK? Workplace Champion. In 2024, after receiving personal threats in a building affected by a bomb scare, he advocated for strata manager safety to become a standing item on SCA’s reform agenda.

He’s also undertaking ESG accreditation and contributes regularly to educational content to lift standards across the industry.

The Future of Strata, Today

Joshua exemplifies the future of strata management: informed, values-driven, and operationally excellent. His clients trust him. His peers respect him. And his track record shows he doesn’t just meet expectations—he redefines them.

From major CBD remediation works to everyday community support, Joshua is proving that strata managers can be leaders, educators, and changemakers—setting tomorrow’s standard today.

Congratulations, Joshua. This award is not just recognition of your achievements, but of the standard you’ve helped set for the entire industry.

Joshua’s recognition continues Strata Plus’s outstanding track record, with the company also receiving this year’s Large Strata Business Award and Jean Burns being named Strata Community Manager of the Year. This follows previous individual recognitions including, Faye Tang (Senior Strata Community Manager 2024), Tammy Dunn (Strata Community Manager 2024), and Belinda Hawes (Strata Community Manager 2023)—reflecting the sustained excellence and collaborative culture that define our team.
